“Turn me up, won’t turn you away”

Pearl Jam – “Spin the Black Circle” from Vitalogy (1994) [Buy it online, if you must]

Today is Record Store Day.  Instead of leeching music off the internets, stop in and patronize your local music purveyor.

Even though I work at PDQ Records in Tucson, my favorite store will always be Vertigo Records in Grand Rapids, MI.  I miss it so. What’s your favorite?

Vertigo is up, up, up there.

Luna in Indianapolis is also pretty very high quality, with good vinyl selections, but it’s got nothing on Vertigo (who I heard is expanding their vinyl section). Paul’s CDs in Pittsburgh is my main source to feed the habit.

My favorite record store is probably Vintage Vinyl in the U-City Loop in St. Louis. If you’re ever in that neck of the woods you should definitely check it out.

    The Full Circle…sentimental reasons.

  5. Likewise, for sentimental reasons: (sadly defunct) Music Matters, in St. Joseph, MI. They special ordered Metallica’s “Load” for me. Ugh. And Dr. Freud’s in Manitowoc, WI. My dad took me there when I was a kid and I bought Nirvana’s From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah on vinyl. Dude…

In all seriousness, I like the Broadway Ave location of Reckless Records in Chicago.

I have noticed that online diploma is getting well-liked because attaining your degree online has become a popular selection for many people. Many people have not necessarily had a possibility to attend an established college or university nevertheless seek the elevated earning possibilities and career advancement that a Bachelors Degree grants. Still people might have a college degree in one discipline but wish to pursue some thing they already have an interest in.
