“I can still feel the breeze, that rustles through the trees.”

Al Green – “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?” from Let’s Stay Together (1972)

So sexy, but so sad.

And who knew this tune was written by the Brothers Gibb?

And I was just talking about Rev. Al Green last night! A prof of mine went to Rev. Green’s church and, after the service, went up to him:

Rev. Green: You’ve come this morning to see the Reverend Al Green, haven’t you?

My Prof: Uh, yes, Mr. Green.

Rev. Green: The Reverend Al Green doesn’t preach here anymore.

  2. True story? Where’s his church?

Wonderful song. There’s always room for a little more Al Green.
